Davido reacts to the alleged arrest and detention of his Uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke by the men of the Nigerian Police Force, telling his fans on Instagram that he gives up on Democracy in Nigeria.
Senator Ademola Adeleke who was the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last year’s governorship election was on Monday arrested by the men of the Nigerian Police, in connection with ongoing criminal investigations touching on his person.
A statement by Mba on the arrest of Senator Adeleke reads:
“Senator Adeleke is currently in police custody. He was taken into custody in the evening of today yesterday (6th, May 2019, in connection with ongoing criminal investigations touching on his person.
“Meanwhile, in the best tradition of natural justice and fair hearing, he has already been served with the relevant charge sheet containing his alleged offences in the presence of his attorneys.
“He will be arraigned in a competent court of law tomorrow, 7th May 2019,” he said.
Davido reacts saying he is giving up on Democracy in Nigeria, as his Uncle Senator Adeleke since his emergence as the Governorship candidate of the PDP and his eventual victory at the Tribunal, has seen the police coming up with different stories to get the Senator arrested and jailed.
Davido in his reaction to the arrest, also said he cannot be arrested, as he is in Los Angeles with his girlfriend having a nice time. He also told the fan not be worried about him, as since those he is fighting for are not bothered, he is giving up on Democracy, and possibly politics.
