Manchester United Defender, Eric Bailly gives an update on the injury he sustained at the weekend, which was the English Premier League game against London side, Chelsea.
Eric Bailly who only returned to the Manchester United starting eleven in that Sunday clash, after being on the sideline for a while, sustained yet another injury, that will now see him miss the remainder of the season, and possibly the African Nations Cup in Egypt.
Taking to his Instagram a few hours ago, he put up a photo of himself looking well and ready for his recovery process, and with this caption:
“I would like to thank everyone for the messages of love and support I have received. It’s tough, but one must accept that some injuries are unavoidable. It’s true that this season hasn’t smiled down upon me very much, but I will return soon and with more strength next season, God willing.”
Manchester United seems to also have missed Eric Bailly, as his long absence at the back has seen Manchester United with one of the worst records in the league this season. They have the worst record among the top six teams in the league, with goalkeeper David De Gea looking like a bottom team goalkeeper with 51 goals conceded so far in the League.
The Red Devils are currently 6th on the League table, and the possibility of them making it into the Champions League spot, will require a miracle to happen. They will need Arsenal and Chelsea to lose their two games, and then they too will have to win theirs to qualify for the Champions League next season.
The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea who are still in Europe, are also ahead of them in the race to top four, with Chelsea in a better position to get into the top four, if they win their remaining two games, leaving Arsenal and Manchester United out of the race.
