Queen Bey clearly is not looking backwards, just a few days after she signed up a deal with Netflix for her Homecoming Album a special chronicle of her history-making HBCU-inspired 2018 performance, she announced a multi-million dollar deal with Adidas, and now she teases us with some of the samples from her Ivy Park Adidas collections.
It was just only yesterday Queen Bey dropped a short video of her Adidas-backed relaunch of Ivy Park, her first major project in partnership with the sportswear giant. The ‘run the world’ crooner, updating us with her work so far, a few hours ago, shared some photos filled with Ivy Park Adidas collections, announcing the special relaunch.
This will definitely sell out in minutes if not seconds, as the woman who could be looking to becoming the next Forbes ranked Billionaire from her Adidas deal, is sure not showing any sign of slowing down.
Beyoncé and Adidas had a few days announced a “creative partner” worth hundreds of million dollars deal to relaunch her three-year-old Ivy Park brand as well as to work on coming up with new signature shoes and apparel for the company. She had said this after signing the business deal:
“This is the partnership of a lifetime for me,” the music superstar said in a statement. “Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of the business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”
Adidas on its part had said this about the deal:
“partnership (that) respects Beyoncé’s ownership of her company, which continues her journey as one of the first black women to be the sole owner of an athleisure brand … Neither ascribes to the typical stereotypes of athletes and what athleisure clothing and footwear should be and instead, will bring to life a shared vision of inclusion that will forever alter the opportunities and landscape for all.”
Beyonce launched her activewear brand Ivy Park in 2016, taking the name from a combination of that of her daughter Blue Ivy Carter and Parkwood Park in her native Houston. The singer took full control of Ivy Park last fall after severing ties with Sir Philip Green following sexual harassment allegations against the retail tycoon.
