Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson Odoi has a few hours ago, confirmed that he has undergone a successful operation to his ruptured Achilles, after suffering a very serious injury a few days ago. The teenager who is already ruled out of the season due to the injury he sustained while playing for his club against Burnley, thank fans for all the show of love, as he promised to return for next season.

Odoi also, seems to have himself confirmed that he is staying at Chelsea after the little drama between himself and the club on speculations of a possible transfer to Bayern. While giving update on his injury, he asked the fans to expect him to return to playing again next season, which is what alot of Chelsea fans will be hoping for.

Odoi put up a short video on his Instagram which was an after surgery shot, where he can be spotted shirtless, and with a huge bandage on his right leg. He took out time to address fans and give an update on his road to full recovery in the video.

Putting up the video, he said he is fine now, and the operation went well, as nothing serious was damage, as he hopes to recover soon. He captioned the video with these few words to fans, saying:

“Operation was Successful, Thank God always and thank you all for your messages and support, the return begins now!!!❤️❤️??”

The 18-year-old winger was named in Maurizio Sarri’s starting line-up for the Easter Monday clash at Stamford Bridge but was forced off after 41 minutes after injuring his right leg. Chelsea drew that game 2-2 as they failed to take all three points to go third on the English Premier League table after playing one more game than Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs who all lost their games that weekend.

Callum Hudson-Odoi was chasing down Charlie Taylor in the Burnley half when he pulled up after appearing to roll his ankle while sprinting.

After collapsing to the ground in agony, the 18-year-old picked himself up. But just minutes later, it was soon clear that his evening was over as he signalled to the bench and was replaced by Pedro.

The teenager had to be helped off the pitch by the Chelsea medical staff and was applauded by the Matthew Harding stand as he slowly made his way around the pitch.

He will not only miss the remainder of the English Premier League games but that of the Europa Cup semifinals and finals if they make it through. He has done well in the competition, and they will miss him going forward.
