The United States Border Police have released the mugshot for rapper, Bill Kapri who is popularly known as Kodak Black, after his arrest at the Canadian-US Border on criminal possession of firearms and drugs.
According to media reports a few days ago, Bill Kapri was arrested by the United State Customs Agent at the US-Canadian Border on weapons and drug charges. He was arrested by the US Customs Agents on Wednesday alongside three other of his friends for criminal possession of a weapon, a second-degree felony, and misdemeanour possession of marijuana charge.
Bill Kapri was said to have been travelling with at least two guns and was stopped when entering the U.S. from Canada. He is being held on a $20,000 cash bond or $40,000 bond.
Nothing has since been heard from his crew, as they too were rumoured to be in the dark as to the activities of Bill Kapri for some weeks now, before his arrest at the border. He even cancelled his show on Wednesday, after he performed over the weekend, and nothing was said as to what could have made him cancel the Wednesday show, which was the day he was arrested.
We await the official statement from his crew, and from the police as to whether or nor he has met his bail conditions.
According to APNews, the rapper, who also faces a charge in South Carolina of first-degree criminal sexual misconduct on allegations he raped a woman after a 2016 concert, was arraigned in a town court and remanded to county jail.
The two passengers in the Escalade face a weapons charge. The driver of the second car, a Porsche, faces marijuana and weapons charges after attempting to cross with three loaded handguns in the car, police said
The four men are due back in town court May 8.
