Popular singer Aituaje Iruobe who is famously known as Waje celebrates her beautiful daughter Emerald who turns 20, posting photos and video on her Instagram to mark the day.
Waje celebrates her daughter as she shares one of the most memorable days of her 38-years existence, which was the day she gave birth to her daughter, Emerald. In marking the 20th anniversary of her birth, Waje put up a short video on her YouTube page where she titled the over 6 minutes video with:
“The truth about my daughter”
In that video, Waje explained to her fans how that singular event of 20-years ago, changed her entire life, as the birth of her daughter gave her a lot of courage to work hard and provide for herself and her daughter.
She explained how she did not feel any pregnancy stress, and how she was pressed one day and decided to use the toilet when suddenly something started making her way inside her, and she screamed. It was her daughter Emerald making her way into the world. She was taken by a stretcher and was later delivered of a beautiful baby girl, whom she later named Emerald.
In the middle of her YouTube video, she called her daughter to wish her a happy birthday, and as they spoke, you could feel the love and mutual understanding between her daughter and herself.
When Waje asked about her study, she confessed she is beginning to get overwhelmed by course work, and thinking of switching Medicine for Law. She said she was thinking of going to London to study law as Medicine is beginning to stress her with serious course load.
Waje advised her just like any mother would, and told her to reorganize herself and not wait till last minutes before doing her course work.She also demanded for good grades, which according to her daughter, starts from 100 and not the popular 70.
They settled that, and when Waje was about dropping the call after sharing a kiss, and as it is common with children, she asked for money from her mom.

Waje said she was serious when she said she wanted to drop music for other things, but after the reactions from Nigerians and her fans… something she did not expect, she is now reconsidering her decision as she put a call through to one Fatima…
…I am guessing the woman who just dropped her first movie production with her best friend and sister, Omawumi could be dropping a single soon..
She said the truth about her daughter is that she is the best daughter in the world and she loves her.
