Popular reality TV star, and Forbes recently crowned 2019 youngest billionaire, Kylie Jenner defend her Self-Made Billionaire Status, saying it is the only truth and the reality as no other word can be used to describe her hard work and business sense to becoming Forbes ranked billionaire.
Kylie Jenner defend herself in a new interview, saying she is fed up of all the talk of being influenced by her sister Kim Kardashian and riding on the already established fame of her family, the Kardashian to become a billionaire.
The mother of one, was a few weeks back crowned by Forbes as ‘Self-Made Billionaire’ due to the success of her Kylie Cosmetics brand, and since then she has contantly gone through some social media bashing mostly from fans of Kim Kardashian, who felt Kylie got where she is today due to Kim and primarily because of her family’s wealth.
The 21-year-old Kylie Jenner defend herself as she opened up about her success and how she’s “very proud” of her status as a self-made billionaire in the German edition of Interview magazine.
“There’s really no other word to use other than self-made because that is the truth,” Jenner said in an interview published Thursday.” That is the category that I fall under.”
Kylie acknowledged she is a bit different from other self-made billionaires, noting her popularity before starting the cosmetics brand. “[I] am a special case because before I started Kylie Cosmetics, I had a huge platform and lots of fans.”
But Kylie insists that she did not receive any money from her famous parents, Caitlyn and Kris Jenner, that would have aided in her achieving billionaire status.
“I did not get money from my parents past the age of 15,” Kylie said. “I used 100 percent of my own money to start the company, not a dime in my bank account is inherited and I am very proud of that.”
Despite the criticism, Kylie is pleased with her business and says she wants to “focus on giving back.”
“I never thought that this could happen. I believed in Kylie Cosmetics but I didn’t even know what I was getting myself into. It feels amazing, it’s wild, and being the youngest ever to do it is a blessing.”
