Former Manchester United and England skipper, Wayne Rooney has a few hours ago, taken to his social media page to welcome the new Red Devil manager, Ole Solskjaer and wish him luck on his new role as a manager of the club.

‪Taken to his social media page, Wayne Rooney put up a photo on Ole Solskjaer and himself, saying:

“Just want to wish Ole Gunnar Solskjaer all the best in his new position. Good luck mate! #mufc #tbt ?‬”

Ole Solskjær a former player of the club, was appointed a caretaker manager till the end of the season, after the sacking of Jose Mourinho on Wednesday morning.

Solskjaer is from Norway who also was a manager of FC Molde before his appointment, and he scored 126 goals in 366 appearances for United between 1996 and 2007. In 2008 he became the club’s reserve-team manager.

Taking the job, Ole Solskjaer had this to say:

“Manchester United is in my heart and it’s brilliant to be coming back in this role. I’m really looking forward to working with the very talented squad we have, the staff and everyone at the Club”.

Ole Solskjaer will be joined by Mike Phelan as first-team coach, working alongside Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna

Manchester United are still hanging on to the 6th position on the League table, with teams breathing heavily on their neck, that they cannot afford to lose or drop more points. It is going to be a difficult job for Solskjaer to turn things around, as the likes of City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea are already way ahead of them and it will be a miracle for them to make it into the top four this season…but United fans are optimistic they can make the top four.

Also, playing PSG in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League will be a difficult one, and if there is anything we are optimistic about, is that United will play their game, rather than trying to stop an opponent from playing.
