The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus has a few hours ago, shared some photographs of himself praying and asking God for a peaceful and successful Presidential rally in Sokoto State, as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar kicks off his Presidential campaign in North-West.
…But there is more to these photos though, as a Nigerian and also a christian, I do not think I have seen anyone pray like Uche Secondus in these Photos. I might be wrong though, while also guessing the battle for Aso Rock has gone spiritual…
Also Nigeria being referred to as a very religious country and the only country in the world where there are more worship centres and no factories; seeing these photographs of Uche Secondus going viral, is not surprising to me.
Religion is a big thing in Nigeria, and one of the things Nigerians never joke with. I will not be shocked to see or hear Politicians adopt ‘religion’ in their various campaign, as a strategy to win votes for their respective candidates.
I am also not insinuating anything here, as Uche Secondus could be doing it for all the right reasons, without hidden motives. But from the little i know, Prayers are meant for you and your God only and not something done in public!
Praying and taking photos of yourself and putting on social media for people to see, is just so Uche Secondus!…any idea where people worship like this?
Uche Secondus put up the photos with this caption:
“As it is customary that I pray before embarking on my daily activities, I pray that Almighty God should direct and guide our paths.
May He grant us the strength to #RescueNigeria and the wisdom required to #GetNigeriaWorkingAgain as we begin our campaign today in Sokoto State.”
