Chelsea Assistant coach Marco Lanni has been slammed with a £6,000 fine by the English Premier League Football Association after admitting to an improper conduct during a Premier League game against Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge in London.

Marco Lanni provocative celebration at the technical area of the visiting team, angered manager Jose Mourinho who rushed off his seat to confront Marco who already ran inside the Chelsea dress room, as the game was held up for some minutes.

The late Ross Barkley’s goal salvaged a point for Chelsea, who remained unbeaten, prompting wild celebration from  Ianni and the Chelsea fans.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United Managers a few weeks ago, had reacted to the incident by giving their respective views about the Chelsea Assistant coach for his behaviour. Jose Mourinho had said this then:

“I don’t think he deserves more than what he got. He apologized to me, I accept his apologies.

“I think he deserves a second chance. I don’t think he deserves to be sacked. I don’t think he deserves anything more than the fact his club was strong with him.”

On his part, Chelsea coach Sarri reacting to the Chelsea Assistant coach reactions, said:

Sincerely I have not seen {what happened] but I have spoken with Jose [Mourinho] then I have spoken with a member of staff because I think we were on the wrong side so I have dealt with it immediately.

“If I speak to a member of staff and am very hard [with him] I cannot come here and tell everything because then I am not credible with the staff.”
