Billionaire blogger Dr Linda Ikeji has a few hours ago, taken to her social media page to explain how her blog, Lindaikejisblog monthly views/visitors dropped from eight million to now just three million per month.
Dr Linda Ikeji no doubt, is the number one blogger in Africa, and her sharing this news (already known by some of us new bloggers) clearly shows how the blogging business has become so competitive, as more people are now going into it, and rather than read other people’s blog, they are creating theirs. But some people have attributed the drop in her monthly views to lack of content, as they have complained that what she does most on her blog her just pictures and little or no write ups.
What ever maybe the case, Dr Linda Ikeji must be given credits for her work over the years, and bringing our awareness to how lucrative blogging can be, and for all her humanitarian work. It could also be that some of her fans/readers have opted for her Lindaikejitv which has been growing in viewership too!
So, I woke up this morning to see our Mummy Jay-Jay (Jayce) putting up a post on her lindaikejitv and how it is growing, far more than what she had initially thought, and also how her first love and blog Lindaikejisblog has been losing readership.
Taking to her page, the new mom said:
Thanks to the nearly 3 million dedicated LIB readers who visit our site monthly. At its height, LIB was getting about 8 million people monthly but things have changed a little in the last one year with some attention shifting to social media but we still have die hard fans who have refused to get their news anywhere else but LIB. It’s because of you guys I can build lindaikeji.tv and afford a Bentley…lol. Thanks guys! .
.Linda Ikeji Blog; how something that seemed so small became so mighty and changed lives. When I started the platform in November 2006, I never imagined it will become what it is. Or give me the kind of money or influence it has. Or open the kind of doors it has. It’s been a journey. An amazingly beautiful one.
I pray today that God blesses the works of your hands and keep your business thriving! And don’t worry about it…no matter how small your business is today, God will quadruple its size. Just keep working hard at it. God bless and good morning ??”
