Roman Reigns who is the 4-time WWE World heavyweight champion has on Monday night, confirmed to the world that he has been living with leukaemia for 11-years, and has since relinquished his title in order to resume treatment.
He said the return of the disease he suffered 11-years ago forced him to vacate his title, but still hope to return some day.
Roman Reigns whose real name is Joe Anoa’i, said him revealing this and vacating his title, does not mean he is delivering a retirement speech, as he will still be back. He said:
“When I come back it’s not going to be about titles and being on top it’s going to be about a purpose,” he said.
“I’m coming back because I want to show the whole world, my family, my friends, my children, and my wife that when life throws a curveball at me I will stand in that batter’s box and swing for the fences every single time.
“Because I will beat this and I will be back, and you will see me very, very soon.” He said.
