Luke Shaw has a few hours ago, signed a new five-year contract extension deal worth £160,000 per-week with Manchester United

The England left-back who has had ups and mostly downs, and somehow embarrassing start to his Manchester United career, now looks to be extending his stay killing all speculations of an imminent move to another Premier League club on a free transfer.

This is also a good news for Manchester United who would have lost the former Southampton defender on a free if he had turned down the new improved offer to his initial £100,000 per week wage.

Luke Shaw has had one of the most embarrassing future at United, especially under a new manager, Jose Mourinho, but has managed to get some good number of games this season, and even winning the man of the match award in one of their games.

Shaw who is still a doubt for the big game away to Chelsea on Saturday is understood to have signed the five-year long-term contract at Carrington on Thursday morning.
No statement yet form Manchester United and manager Jose Mourinho, but an official statement is expected soon.

Shaw’s £160,000 per week wage which is a rise from £100,000 per week wage could rise to £200,000 when all the bonuses he is expected to get are added. This means he is one of the highest paid in the club, just behind the likes of Lukaku, Sanchez, Paul Pogba, David DeGea, and Fred. But highest paid defender in the club as of now.

Luke Shaw who is just 23, joined Manchester United in 2014, with over 50 caps and one goal for the club, is looking to stay put and win his manager’s confidence.

He is competing with Young on the left wing, with Rojo still injured, he will be looking to manage his injury worries and stake a total claim to the left wing back.
