PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar earlier today played host to Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido and his girlfriend Chioma at his home in Abuja.
Cheif Atiku Abubakar since becoming the PDP Presidential candidate a few weeks ago, has been receiving visitors and congratulatory messages from both old and young, and the latest people to have paid the former Vice President a visit are no other than one of Africa’s biggest artist, Davido and Chioma.
Davido who unofficially his a PDP member, after campaigning for his Uncle and Senator, Senator Adeleke at the just concluded Osun Governorship election, has become closer to politicians from the opposition, than the ruling party of All Progressives Congress (APC), as he looks to strengthen his relationship further at the National level.
Davido putting up the photo, thanked Atiku Abubakar for receiving them, as he hopes to land another campaign deal from the PDP Presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2019 Presidential elections.
Atiku on his part, while receiving Davido and Chioma, described as a great example for every Nigerian youth. He said:
“Thank you for the visit, David O. Your story is a great example for our youth.”
Davido during the Governorship election in his state, Osun State campaigned massively for his uncle, but unfortunately, his uncle lost the election at the rerun poll. He will be looking to take that energy across all the states in Nigeria, as PDP will be banking on him for mobilization of voters, especially the youths.
I cannot wait to see which way the 2019 elections would go, as already the PDP have picked former Anambra Governor Peter Obi as the running mate to Chief Atiku, as Nigerians await the Presidential debates amongst Presidential candidates, especially that of the APC and PDP.
As Peter Obi will be taking on Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, and President Muhammadu Buhari (if he agrees to show up for the debate) will have a face off with Atiku Abubakar…patiently waiting…
