Nemanja Matic could miss his return to his former club, Chelsea as the Serbian has been ruled out from the UEFA Nations League games against Montenegro and Romania.
Manchester United in a statement released online said Nemanja Matic returned to the club after he has left for International duties, only to return due to an injury.
Matic who is still picking up form this season has played some crucial roles for Manchester United, especially in their last League game against Newcastle, where they came back from two goal down to secure a dramatic win, winning the game 3-2 at Old Trafford.
According to the club statement, Matic departed for international duty soon after that win, but he has now returned to the Aon Training Complex to complete his rehabilitation under the club’s guidance.
Jose Mourinho will now be looking to get him fit for the big game against one of the best teams in the League.
This also follows the news of Luke Shaw’s injury who has also been forced to return early from England duty.
