Baba Sala one of the pioneers of comedy in Nigeria and a man nicknamed ‘Mr humour merchant’ is dead.
Baba Sala whose real name is Moses Olaiya died late Sunday night at his hometown in Ilesa Osun State and was aged 82.
Baba Sala has been bedridden for months, before he died on Sunday, and his body has since been deposited at the morgue of the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.
One of those that has taken out time to mourn the painful death of the late Comedian, his Adebayo Salami, popularly known as ‘Oga Bello’. See his message:
“The news of your demise came to me as a shock. No matter how old good people grow, we still don’t want them to die. Yet, death is an integral part of the existence cycle.
Pa Moses Olaiya, you were a pathfinder, a creator of fun, a leader and eclectic thespian.
We shall miss you greatly.
On behalf of my family and I, it is our prayers that God bless your soul.”
