Ochei has finally submitted his Governorship nomination and interest form at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abuja.
The former Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly is eyeing the post of the office of the Governor of Delta State currently being occupied by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and seems to be partnering with former Governor of the State and friend, Emmanuel Uduaghan to unseat Governor Okowa and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the State.
Victor Ochie just like Emmanuel Uduaghan was formerly with PDP before decamping to the opposition party in the State, which is the APC and are now strategizing towards 2019 to individually achieve their mains.
While Emmanuel Uduaghan is eyeing the seat of Senator James Manager in the National Assembly, Victor Ochei is also looking to unseat Dr. Okowa as the next Governor come 2019.
Also, the two failed in their bid to become Governor and Senator in 2015, they will be trying again and with a different approach to reach their aims.
Ochie while submitting his form, said:
“My vision and mission of offering progressive governance to Deltans got a further boost today, as I returned my duly filled expression of interest and nomination forms for the office of the governor of Delta state in 2019 at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, Abuja.”
This desire to serve is anchored on altruistic premises where our common patrimony won’t be the exclusive preserve of a few to the detriment of the many. It is an ideal which, I had continually nourished and sustained, by an implicit belief that the improved living standard of the polity is the veritable essence of governance.
Let’s collectively believe and uphold these ideals, as they form the bases of progress.

The 2019 general elections in Delta State will be an interesting one, as all the political gladiators go head to head for the various political offices in the State.
