Lloris has confessed to a drink-driving at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Wednesday morning, after he was charged by the Police.

The Tottenham Hotspurs goalkeeper who was charged for drink-driving by the London Police admitted to having exceeded the limit required by law when he was stopped over by the Police in Central London on August 24th, a few days before Spurs game against Manchester United

.
Hugo Lloris who is a world cup winner with France appeared in Court in a dark jacket with a polo and dark jeans to match, looking all clean, as he walks passed huge media presence at the Court premises, while being escorted by Security. He could be facing a possible ban and a fine for violations.

According to the British drink-driving law, anyone found guilty by the court to have violated the law, could be imprisoned, ban from driving and or face a fine, or all of the above.

Such a person also found guilty by the Magistrates’ court could be asked to undergo a rehabilitation scheme for 12-months or more as the Court pleases.

In the case of Hugo Lloris who was found driving while under the influence could possibly face a 3-months imprisonment, fine up to £2,500 or get a driving ban.

The statement released a few weeks back by the Police reads:

“A man has been charged following a routine Patro stop in Gloucester Place, W1.”

“Hugo Lloris, 31, of East Finchley, was charged with drink-driving on Friday, 24th August.
He has been bailed to return to Westminster Court on Tuesday, 11 September”.
While on his part, Hugo Lloris reacting to the incident and after spending over 6hours in Police custody apologized for his actions, saying:

“I wish to apologise wholeheartedly to my family, the club, my team-mates, the manager and all of the supporters.”

“Drink-driving is completely unacceptable. I take full responsibility for my actions and it is not the example I wish to set.” He said.
