Yaya Toure on Sunday was welcomed by hundreds of Olympiakos fans, as the former Barcelona and Manchester City midfielder, makes his way back to the Greek side.

Yaya Toure who was presented to the crowd a few hours ago was earlier rumoured to be joining a London club which name was not given after he was spotted in the English capital, London a few days ago.

Yaya Toure, who left the Greek side in 2006, and then later joined Manchester City where he rediscovered himself, earlier last season fell out with the new manager, Pep Guardiola who many thoughts was still harbouring ill feelings towards the Ivorian after their misunderstanding during his time in Barcelona.

He eventually apologized and made peace with  Pep and was brought back to the Manchester City first team, before he finally left. But he still maintained that the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach, is a racist, and his decision to keep him off the first team of Manchester City, was due to the fact that he is the Barcelona born manager, is a racist.  Pep Guardiola has since denied  the claim.

The former Manchester City player  was presented to the Olympiakos fans on Sunday after their game, said:

“I made my decision based on the special relationship I have with this incredible club,”

“It is an honour to be back. When I left in 2006 I said I would come back and I am delighted to keep my word. I had offers from lots of clubs across Europe, Asia and the USA.”

“I am as hungry for success now as I was when I first arrived here many years ago and I cannot wait to help the club win the trophies the great fans of Olympiakos deserve.

“It is now time to let my football do the talking once again.”

According to a report by BBC, he joined Barcelona in 2007 before moving to Manchester City in 2010, where he won the Premier League three times.

Olympiakos have not yet released any details about the length of his deal but welcomed the Ivorian on their social media channels.

He  was also pictured in club colours and met owner Evangelos Marinakis – who also holds a majority stake in Nottingham Forest – on Sunday.

Olympiakos finished third in the Greek Super League last season behind PAOK and champions AEK Athens
