Mrs. Aisha Buhari yesterday, at the State House received the group known as ‘The South East Women for Buhari’ as they paid her a visit to celebrate her on her achievements, especially her recent award of an honorary Doctorate Degree from South Korea.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari who thanked them for their visit and support to her and her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, praised the women and other Nigerian women who are advocating for inclusion of more women in politics, while also engaging in politics to promote the well being of not just themselves, but other women and children in their different localities.

She said, for Nigeria to have that needed change, more women need to go into politics and go for positions like lawmaking at the National Assembly both within the State and the Nigeria level, as she said with more women in the lawmaker chambers, the needed change is certain.

Mrs. Aisha Buhari who shared some of the photos of the visit of the group on her social media page, captioned the photos with these words:

“It is exciting for me to meet with a delegation of a formidable political group, South East Women for Buhari. Some of them are aspirants to different political offices, My prayer is that they win Election to justify this administration’s determination to include more women in governance particularly at the grass root where they can impact more on the lives of our people. With more women in the legislature, the needed change is certain!”

Mrs. Aisha Buhari only a few weeks ago, was honoured with a Doctorate in Humanity by Sun Moon University, Asan, South Korea, for her outstanding work with women and children through Future Assured Programme, and this group appreciated for making Nigerian women proud.
