Michelle Obama has paid tribute to late Aretha Franklin, as she leads other celebrities to pay tributes to the late Icon and Queen of Soul, who died at age 76.
Aretha Franklin who died on Thursday after battling with Cancer had the most influence on musicians both in the soul and gospel genre of music, especially black Americans, for over six decades of her musical career.
Leading the way the former first lady of America, Michelle Obama just like her husband, was saddened by the news, taking to her social media page, she said:
“Watching Aretha Franklin perform at the White House, and on so many other occasions, made time stand still. Barack Obama and I are holding Aretha’s family in our hearts right now. She will forever be our Queen of Soul.” Michelle Obama wrote on her page.
