Atletico Madrid have been crowned Super Cup Champions after beating revivals and neighbours Real Madrid 4-2 in extra in time of the finals.

Former Chelsea striker and Atletico Madrid returnee, Diego Costa was the man of the match, as he kicked started the show with a superb goal in the 40-seconds of starting the game, after beating Ramos with a header, and pulling Verane to the corner to smash home a volley past goalkeeper Navas for Atletico first goal of the night.

Benzema pulled one back for Real Madrid, but Costa was not done, as he netted home his second of the night to put his side on the lead again, before Captain Ramos leveled on the spot for Real making it 2-2.

Julen Lopetegui is the first Real Madrid manager to concede four or more goals in his first competitive game in charge since Michael Keeping against Celta Vigo in February 1948. Stunned.

Simeone is the first Atletico manager to win a final against Real Madrid in three different competitions: Copa del Rey, Supercopa and UEFA Super Cup.
