Mrs. Aisha Buhari has finally been conferred with her honorary Ph.D. by Sun-Moon University in Asan South Korea, a few weeks after she was presented with the awarded in Abuja.
The wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs. Aisha Buhari was awarded a Doctorate in Humanities by Sun Moon University in far away South Korea some weeks back at the Villa in Abuja for the good work she is doing through the ‘Aisha Buhari Foundation and Future Assured Programme.’
The first lady was presented with the award by a professor from the University, Professor Hong Young-Shik of the Department of Political Science at the presidential villa in Abuja where he made the presentation.
As at the time the presentation was made, the first lady was not on hand to receive the award, but Dr. Hajo Sani, who is a Senior Special Adviser to the President, received the delegation on behalf of Mrs. Aisha Buhari.
Dr. Sani who received the award assured the delegation of the University that the First Lady promised to be present at the convocation and award ceremony in South Korea for her conferment.
The ceremony took place earlier today, as Mrs. Aisha Buhari finally received the award and her certificate from the school authority. She dedicated the award to Nigerian women and young girls in the country.
Mrs. Aisha Buhari now joins the likes of African richest blogger, Linda Ikeji, author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala who have been honoured by foreign universities on their contribution to humanity and Africa in general.
While reacting to the award, the Nigerian first lady gave praises to God for the honour, saying:

“With gratitude to God for an honor done to me by the governing Council of Sun Moon University, South Korea for being decorated today with a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration (Honoris Causa). My gratitude goes to the President of the University, Dr. Sun-Jo Hwang and the entire for this honour. I dedicate this honour to all Nigerian women and children.”
