After making a big money move from Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo was joined by his girlfriend, mother and son at his unveiling as a Juventus player on Monday, as the whole family looks to a new life in Turin with the European and World’s best footballer.
Ronaldo will be looking to open a new chapter with the Italian giants in his footballing career, and possibly rewrite history at the club like he has been doing in every club he has been to.
At his press conference during his unveiling in Turin, Ronaldo revealed that he turned down big money move to the Middle East, Asia, and the United State, as he believes he still has something to offer. But most pundits believes the Portuguese main reason for remaining in Europe, is just for him to break record as the only player in history to have won multiple world best. He said:
“The nine years at Real Madrid were wonderful, but it’s a brand new step in my life, so I thank all the supporters with my heart,”
“But I have to focus on this next step. I’m looking forward to playing. I’m very motivated, concentrated and focused on that.”
“I’m going to try to show that I am a top player, as usual. I’m going to work hard in training … I am very ambitious and I like challenges. I don’t like to stay in my comfort zone. After the experiences in Manchester and in Madrid, I’d like to mark the history of Juventus.” He said.
