“Lagos State Government is perfecting plans to prosecute the owner and driver of the ill-fated fuel tanker which exploded last Thursday on Otedola Bridge inward Ojodu Berger along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway”

On safety measures, the Government warn residents of gathering in an accident scene, as that could be putting their own lives at risk, as such as what happened last week, there could be a second explosion. They caution citizens of converging and allow those trained and adequately equipped to do the job to take control of the accident scene. The Statement continued:
“Residents are also urged to always refrain from converging on the scene of an accident of such magnitude as that of the unfortunate tanker fire incident, saying there could be a secondary explosion which could lead to loss of lives.”

“Families who lost their loved ones to the Otedola Bridge accident have started reporting at the Lagos State DNA Forensic Centre for submission of reference samples that would be used to identify victims.
Orders security agencies to step up enforcement of traffic law, as ACP allays fears over a renewed threat of militancy in Epe, Ikorodu axis.”
