The wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari has been awarded a Doctorate in Humanities by Sun Moon University in far away South Korea. This according to report, was made known by a professor from the University, Professor Hong Young-Shik of the Department of Political Science on Thursday at the presidential villa Abuja where he made the presentation.

Accepting the award on behalf of the first lady, the Senior Special Adviser to President Buhari, Dr Hajo Sani She said the first lady is happy for the honour and accepts the award which she dedicated to Nigerian women and children.
The report also said that Mrs Aisha Buhari promised to continue the good work she is doing through Aisha Buhari Foundation and Future Assured Programme. The award ceremony is expected to take place later in the year.Responding, Dr. Hajo Sani, SSA to the President, who received the delegation on behalf of the first lady, thanked the University for recognizing the humanitarian activities of Mrs. Buhari, especially to women & children through the award of Doctor of Humanities (Honoris Causa).
