Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has announced on his social media page, his intention to leave Arsenal after spending almost 13years with the club.
This is coming after the player announced that talks for a possible contract extension and regular playing time which he did not enjoy last season and two seasons before led to the break down of talks between both parties, as they could not guarantee him a regular playing time.
This lack of playing time has been the sole reason he has gone out on two loans away from the club, both in 2010 with Bolton and 2016-2017 with Bournemouth.
In a long note he released online, he said due to his career and age, he cannot submit to the contract terms being pushed forward to him by Arsenal, so both parties have agreed is best they part ways.
This clearly will be a big miss for Arsenal, as Wilshire since his first appearance for the club at 17, showed a lot of promise, but off and on field events especially injuries has seen the player become a shadow of himself, even missing out in the England squad for the Russia 2018 FIFA world cup.
