The governor of Ekiti State Mr Ayodele Fayose has condemned the violence that marred the All Progressives Congress rally in Ado-Ekiti where many were reportedly injured and one killed.

The Governor who blamed his predecessor and the Governorship candidate of the APC  in the forthcoming Governorship election in the state, Dr Fayemi as being responsible for the deadly violence in the once peaceful city of Ado-Ekiti according to the Governor.

The ugly incident at the APC rally has been described as an accidental discharge from a police officer which almost took the life of the APC candidate, in which Ayo Fayose in his usual self, described as “those whom the gods want to destroy he first make them mad”…lol

The Governor who took to his social media page, said the peace enjoyed in Ekiti has been disturbed by the ruling party, the APC.

He said since the APC primary the state has known no peace anymore, as the former governor Dr Fayemi and APC are not wanted by the people. He said this on his social media handle. He said:

Fayemi is having in all these challenges because of his desperation. It is instructive that there was chaos at the APC primary election and his return to Ekiti today brought bloodshed to a once peaceful Ekiti State. Those whom the gods want to destroy,  they first make mad.

I sympathize with victims of today’s shootings by armed policemen that Fayemi and his APC invaded our State with and I have directed adequate treatment of the injured ones that are receiving treatment at the State University Teaching Hospital.
