The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District Senator Dino Melaye has cried out that there are over 30 armed Policemen currently laying siege to his house. The Senator who had earlier alleged that he was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport and prevented to travel for an official visit in Morocco, and thereafter was rumoured to have been released, made this new allegation on his social media page.

The Senator to prove his point, shared some photos of the alleged security operatives with their vans parked in strategic positions at in and around the senator’s house. Dino who shared the photos captioned it with this:

Over 30 heavily armed fierce looking mobile police men have just stormed My residence in Maitama, Abuja.

All roads leading to House has been condoned off, as heavy mobile police men blocked entry & exit of the road. They currently laid siege on in and around The house.

Since the Dino Melaye incident, the police or presidency is yet to make an official statement regarding the situation as at the time of this report. But unconfirmed source claimed that the police have denied any knowledge of the alleged arrest of Senator Dino Melaye and no formal report has reached the police.
