The Spaniard who was sent to the stand after protesting a disallowed goal from Sane which was ruled offside in the first half after replay showed the ball actually rebounded from a Liverpool player before Sane touched the ball into the net. He also praised his team for their performance but was quick to point out that fatigue could be the reason they have lost three games in one week, saying it is very difficult to maintain such a run for ten months without running out of energy. When asked about the disallowed goal from Leroy Sane in the first half, and the game in general, he said:
it was a goal when the ball was passed to
@LeroySane19 That’s why he sent me off. It would have been different to go in 2-0 . It’s different when Salah’s goal at Anfield is offside. It’s different when @gabrieljesus33‘s goal at Anfield is offside.
You won’t find a team who can keep the same momentum over the course of eleven months. I give them credit for the performance against United and the first 45 minutes today. Maybe in the future I will realise what the trick is.
