Real Madrid Star, Cristiano Ronaldo has once again been named Portugal best player of the year 2017. The Portuguese star who has had a successful career for both club and country was honoured just last night for his contribution not just to Portugal but Europe and the world football. A well-deserved award, if you consider that fact that he is the holder of both UEFA and FIFA best footballer awards, even the award for best player in Asia, as voted by fans, so it would have been wrong if the award has gone to someone else other than Ronaldo.
Cristiano Rinaldo is a typical example of ‘never give up and continue to work hard even when the results are not coming’ this is so because just a few months ago, the Portuguese after winning both UEFA and FIFA best player award, dropped form that finding the net at the beginning of the season, became difficult for him. His struggle to find the back of the net affected not just him, but the club who now look like a team about losing the Laliga to their arch rival, Barcelona. Rinaldo surprising to many has bounced back from the player we used to know and his abilities, scoring more goals in his last games than at the beginning of the season. He clearly deserve to be given the awards…congratulations to him…
