The life of a President is definitely not an easy one, as President Buhari who only few hours ago was in Yobe State where the Dapchi girls were abducted, was spotted again in Niger State for another one day visit. The president who in the last few days have been in and around North East and North Central of the country, in his one day visit to Niger state, aside his security and peace meetings in these states, commissioned a multimillion Dollar project which is still ongoing in Niger State. The project named Sunti Golden Sugar Estates, was built by the State government in conjunction with Flour Mills of Nigeria.

The president was in the company of the State Governor of Niger State Abubakar Bello and also Ministers and aides to the President on Industry, Trade and Investments, Mr Okechukwu Enelamah and officials of the Nigeria Flour Mills, and Africa’s richest man Dangote were all on hand as the President commissioned the Sunti Golden Sugar Estate in Niger State. In cutting the tape to officially launch the Estate, the president had these few words to say:

I commissioned the Sunti Golden Sugar Estates in Niger State today. We’re grateful to all investors who continued to invest even during the recession, demonstrating great confidence in our policies. We will continue to support the private sector to create jobs and prosperity.

As I noted a few days ago at a Meeting with key players in Rice in Nigeria, since 2015, @ProfOsinbajo and I have commissioned several agricultural projects and programs, across the country—From rice to wheat to cashew to animal feed to fertiliser, drinks processing and many more.

Our agriculture vision continues to be for a country that grows what it eats; one in which everyone—especially our youth—sees Agriculture as a financially viable sector; a country that supports farmers; and that promotes programs that will open up and invest in our rural areas.

We have the fertile land, we have water, we have the manpower, to feed ourselves. We also have the political will. And we all know that when Nigerians are committed to executing a task, it gets done; when we all come together with the same vision, Nigeria must surely win.
