The stage is set, and the political hustle has began not just for the politicians, but for others such as entertainers justling for campaign placements. The next general elections is few months away, and it will be a misstatements to say it is only the politicians that are waiting in the wings to either fight for a political office or a ‘handouts’, as the Nigerian political arena is now an all comers affairs, depending on what you are chasing. This could be the case for popular comedian, Bright Okpocha, best known as Basket-mouth, who was spotted in a Photograph with APC strong man and Chieftain, Senator Bola Tinubu.
The photograph could have been taken as a mere picture, if not for the caption that accompanied it; with the talk of a possible second term for the present Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode by the comedian.
Since the return of Democratic dispensation in Nigeria, aside the politicians and their godfathers, others who seem to have benefited more in the experiment are the entertainers, especially the comedians. But you hardly notice this, as most people feel since their shows are virtually sold out shows (shows they could have used to speak the truth to these politicians but rather use it as a platform to praise them, as they are the ones who pay hundreds of millions to buy a single table for one night),they could afford to live the lavish life most of them brag about…but one political godfather get hand inside!!dem no go tell you…

These people (entertainers) are always in high demand when is that time for elections. It also does not matter whether they are working for the opposition or the ruling party, these politicians go all out for their services, that even the entertainers themselves go as far as ‘selling’ their conscience just to be part of the political jamboree. So, in a way, it is not a surprise to see Basket Mouth hanging out with Tinubu, and at same time, endorsing one of his boys who is the present governor of Lagos state..even with all our suffer!!
Well, it could appear as a joke but we all know, that even with him trying to make it look as a joke, the proverbial ‘handwriting on the wall’ says otherwise….the fact is, he is soliciting for a job from the bourdlilon strong man of Nigeria politics…selfish! no wonder they cannot lead a common protest againt Government, except the ones sponsored by their political godfathers…shio!!! yeye
