The 36year old English veteran, joined Manchester United from Spurs in 2006, and has made just one appearance under coach Mourinho this season, in the league cup. Given his illness and heart related problem, plus the injuries, Carrick has given up hope of continuing playing, as he feels at 36, is time he calls it quit and plan his future as a manager. During his time at United, Carrick has won virtually everything in club football, with five Premiership titles, six community shields, One FA Cup, One Champions League, One Europa League , Three League Cup, and Fifa World Club Cup.
