Former Chelsea forward and Ivorian International, Didier Drogba clocks 40 today. The former African footballer of the year, who during his time in competitive football especially in England, won virtually all there is to be won, adds another year to his age. Drogba who was instrumental in Chelsea’s ever UEFA Champions League Triumph, after a second shot at the final, was celebrated by the club on his birthday. That win and others have endeared him in the hearts of Chelsea fans world wide, and is no wonder, each striker that have come through since Drogba departure from the club, have all struggled to lead the line the way Drogba did, and Chelsea fans are always looking for the next Drogba in every striker that have come through the Stamford Bridge.
Fans now understand what he gave for the club, and they are struggling to get a replacement. So, as a ritual, we decided to put up this post to celebrate him and his achievement, and how far he has come. Happy Birthday Drog!
