The relationship between Nigeria and Ghana is that which cannot be explained by mere words alone, as the two West African countries over the years, despite their geographical distance, have bonded like siamese twins in all areas of life. Though there have been one or two arguments on some social and cultural events, especially arguments on whose ‘Jollofrice’ is best, and who is copying who in terms of the now popular ‘Highlife’ music genre, there have not been serious political disagreement between them.

The two country will laugh, banter and collaborate in songs, that even other West African countries wonder while same thing is not happening with our closest neighbours of Benin Republic and Togo…nah! is far from language barrier!

The Nigeria Senate President has further demonstrated this cordial relationship, as one that does not only exist amongst ordinary Ghanaians and Nigerians, but as a relationship that cut across board. This he did, by making a beautiful presentation to the President of Ghana earlier today, as they mark their 61st Independence day. Dr Saraki presented Painted and lacquered Ostrich egg, made in Bauchi State to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.The Senate President who has been in Ghana since on Sunday, was with some Senators as they wait to join President Buhari who is schedule to arrive Accra Ghana on Tuesday, for the Independence day celebration. It also interest you to know that, President Buhari was the only foreign leader invited for the big event, further confirming the popular saying that Nigeria and Ghana are from one descendant…
