Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has written to the alleged owner of the red dress she wore on her 40th birthday celebration. According to the actress who had earlier made up her mind in contacting her lawyers if the alleged Bride keeps bringing up her name and that of the designer, after the matter seems to have been settled,finally made good her promised by this new development.
The actress who has maintained her innocence ever since the news broke, saying all along that she does not know how her name was dragged into the whole mess, and that she has never met the alleged bride whom the dress was meant for. She even went as far as releasing an apology letter on her page after she might of learn of what actually happened between her designer and the Bride.
Well, she has decided to seek redress as the bride whose name was not given, threatened to sue the designer of the red dress…
Yellowdanfo did not carry the initial story, even though we shared some of the pictures from the birthday…but in case you are wondering what the issue was, well, Mercy Aigbe’s designer is being dragged for giving out the dress they made for a Bride to Mercy Aigbe, which she in turn, wore on her birthday, thinking it was actually her design…hmmm…
The actress on her social media page earlier today, released a statement from her lawyers. she said:
The lingering ‘Red Dress’ issue continued this morning as the bride threatened to sue the designer Rikaotobyme and also falsely accused me of connivance with the said designer …..( without substantial proof or evidence )
Having served Rikaotobyme a letter tru my lawyer on Jan 8 to issue an official statement on the above subject matter with clear indications that I have never met her before or transacted business with her which she failed to do, I have instructed my lawyer to go ahead and seek redress.
