Millie Bobby Brown is celebrating her first birthday as a mother.
“22. grateful for my husband and daughter,” the Stranger Things star began in the caption of a Thursday, Feb. 19 Instagram post. “for my family and friends. all of my animals. I am so blessed. thank you for the birthday wishes,” Millie Bobby Brown added, signing, “ xoxo.”
The single-photo upload was a picture of the mommy-daughter duo sitting together on a sandy beach at sunset, dressed in cozy attire.
Millie Bobby Brown shares the toddler, whose name has not yet been publicly revealed, with her husband Jake Bongiovi, 23.
Following a May 2024 wedding, the couple exchanged vows again five months later during an Italian destination ceremony. The British actress and the son of famed musician Jon Bon Jovi, welcomed their first child, a “sweet baby girl,” via adoption in the summer of 2025.
For her 22nd birthday, Bongiovi posted a photo of the Electric State actress to his Instagram Stories.
“To my beautiful wife, happy birthday. Your heart is like no other,” he wrote, adding a single red heart emoji.
His short and sweet tribute showed Brown outside on a sunny day, leaning to play with several animals as she looked up towards the camera and smiled.
The couple has said they plan to raise their daughter on their Georgia farm, which is home to sheep, goats, cows, donkeys, cats and dogs.
“They have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. [Millie] loves her farm — it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up,” a source previously told PEOPLE shortly after the pair’s baby announcement.
While Millie Bobby Brown has also discussed the desire to be a young mother in the past, she also hinted at adoption being an option prior to their little one’s arrival.
“I really want a family. I really want a big family,” the Enola Holmes actress said on the Smartless podcast in March 2025. “I’m one of four. [Jake is] one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”
Brown continued, “My home is full of love for anyone and anything. That is what we stand by, Jake and I.”
Just before the holidays, a source told PEOPLE that the new mom was loving her new title and looking forward to her family spending Christmas together.
“Millie is honestly the happiest she’s ever been. Becoming a mom has changed everything for her,” the insider said in early December.
“Even with how crazy her schedule is right now with work and all the Stranger Things promo, she’s with her baby girl every second she can be,” they continued. “She can’t even put into words how much she loves her. She’s really excited for the holidays too, since it’s their first one as a little family.”
The source also added, “Millie has talked about having a big family, so more kids are definitely possible.”
