Kim Kardashian is setting the record straight on her friendship with ex-BFF Larsa Pippen.
The 45-year-old reality TV star-turned mogul sat down with sister Khloe Kardashian for a two-part episode of her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast, during which she revealed where she currently stands with Pippen, 51.
‘I love Larsa. I love her kids,’ Kim Kardashian told Khloe on part two of her appearance, shared to YouTube on Wednesday.
She described about the end of their friendship, ‘That was a transition when I think she was going through a divorce [from NBA legend Scottie Pippen] and [ex-husband] Kanye [West] and I were having some issues.’
Kim Kardashian acknowledged that she and Larsa ‘distanced ourselves for a little bit,’ as Khloe added that ‘it just fizzled.’
‘And she moved to Miami,’ the Good American founder noted, with her sister agreeing, ‘Yeah, she moved to Miami, but like, I love her.’
Kim Kardashian went on to point out, ‘Our kids go to school together. We’ll always have so many memories and so much love there.’
In early 2022 Larsa spoke about what ended her relationship with Kim Kardashian and her family.
On an episode of Real Housewives of Miami she claimed that she was ‘too close’ to the famous family and bore witness to what went on behind closed doors, which made her ‘a problem.’
She revealed at the time: ‘I don’t even know what happened. I was best friends with [Kim] and I love her and I love [Kim’s now-ex-husband Kanye West] and I just was the person who was stuck in the middle.
‘I took a beating because I was the friend that was basically there and saw everything and that basically was the demise of our relationship. I knew too much, I was a problem and so whatever. That’s kind of what happened.’
It came after she previously said in a November 2020 interview with Hollywood Raw, when Kim was still married to Kanye, ‘If Kanye feels like him and Kim are better without me, then let them be without me. I’m okay with that… I will survive.’
Kim filed for divorce from West, who now goes by Ye, in February 2021. It came nearly seven years after they tied the knot in Italy in May 2014.
The divorce was finalized in November 2022 and Ye married Bianca Censori that December.
The exes share daughters North, 12, Chicago, eight, and sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, six.
Meanwhile, Larsa and the former Chicago Bull were married from 1997 until she filed for divorce in 2018. The split wasn’t finalized until December 15, 2021.
The Pippens share Scotty Jr., 25, Preston, 23, Justin, 20, and Sophia, 17.
Elsewhere on Khloe’s podcast, Kim admitted that she was so ‘desperate’ to be famous back in 2006-2009 that she used to scam paparazzi.
The star confessed: ‘[Fame] is all I wanted. I lived for it.’
She recalled the time her BFF Jonathan Cheban discovered the New York City hotel where Britney Spears was staying, and the pair caught a ride there in a Rolls-Royce Phantom thanks to a guy they’d met during dinner that night.
‘We were like, “We’ll sit in the back.” So, it looks like we got out with a driver at this hotel. [There were] paparazzi everywhere waiting for Britney at her hotel,’ she recounted.
‘We got out and they were like, “Kim, Kim, Kim, are you here to visit Britney?” and Jonathan [mutters], “Keep your head down and just, like, shut up.”‘
Once inside, Kim and the 52-year-old influencer darted inside a phone booth in the lobby and remained there for 20 minutes because they ‘didn’t know anyone at this hotel.’
‘We come out [of the hotel], and they’re like: “Kim, how was Britney? Kim, how was Britney?”‘ the LA-bred beauty detailed. ‘We took a cab, I think, because this Rolls-Royce dropped us off, but they weren’t going to take pictures of us, like, getting in. So, we totally scammed the system. And it was like on every [magazine] cover. And we thought we were killing it.’
