Natalie Portman and Rebecca Zlotowski looked extremely close as they reunited on the red carpet at the Vie Privée premiere in Paris on Thursday, Daily Mail reports.
The actress, 44, who turned out to support her friend Rebecca, 45, looked in high spirits as she warmly embraced the filmmaker.
She leaned her head against Rebecca’s before planting a sweet kiss on her cheek in front of cameras ahead of the screening.
For the outing, Natalie cut a chic figure in a black knit mini dress featuring long sleeves, gold-buttoned cuffs and a flared skirt.
She teamed the look with sheer black tights and stylish black leather knee-high boots, while sweeping her brunette tresses into a sleek bun.
Meanwhile, Rebecca, 45, looked equally polished in a brown blazer with matching trousers and a crisp white shirt.
The French director looked thrilled to have Natalie Portman by her side as she wrapped her arms around the star for several sweet snaps before planting a kiss on her cheek and cheekily lifting her off the ground.
Vie Privée, due for release this month, is a French mystery thriller directed and co-written by Zlotowski, and stars Jodie Foster alongside Daniel Auteuil, Virginie Efira, Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Lacoste and Luana Bajrami.
The movie follows renowned psychiatrist Lilian Steiner (Jodie) as she launches her own investigation into the death of one of her patients, a case she becomes convinced was murder.
Natalie’s appearance at the premiere comes after she was recently spotted enjoying a romantic stroll with boyfriend Tanguy Destable in a rare sighting last month.
The Oscar winner went public with the French music producer, 44, in March, after she finalised her divorce from Benjamin Millepied last year – following 11 years of marriage.
Tanguy, known professionally as Tepr, has collaborated with a number of fellow French stars, including DJ David Guetta and singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer.
Natalie Portman and Benjamin’s split came after the choreographer allegedly cheated on the Black Swan star with a woman 21 years his junior.
He was seen kissing a woman in October 2024 in Paris, according to Us Magazine, with sources saying Natalie had predicted he would quickly return to the dating field.
The insider said: ‘Natalie isn’t surprised that Benjamin has moved on because of how their relationship ended. She thought he’d move on pretty quickly.’
The source added that the actress ‘hopes Benjamin is happy’ and that his ‘dating life doesn’t really have any bearing on Natalie.’
‘She’s super happy in her life right now and has been prioritising family and friends,’ the source said.
Natalie Portman and Benjamin met in 2009 on the set of her psychological horror film Black Swan, for which he was the choreographer.
They became engaged in 2010 and were married in 2012 at Big Sur, California, going on to welcome son Aleph, 13, and daughter Amalia, seven.
Benjamin also worked on choreography for Natalie’s dark musical drama film Vox Lux in 2018, in which she played a woman who survives a school shooting, only to become a pop star.
Meanwhile, Tanguy was previously in a relationship with actress Louise Bourgoin from 2013 to 2023, and they share sons Étienne, nine, and Vadim, five.
