Cameron Diaz’s husband Benji’s comments about their oldest child, five-year-old daughter Raddix, came as a shock after the two have shared so little about her with the public, Daily Mail reports.
According to the report by Daily Mail, during an appearance with his twin brother Joel Madden on the TikTok series Track Star, the Good Charlotte guitarist revealed some of his daughter’s favorite music.
The show, which tests its guests’ musical knowledge, featured host Jack Coyne playing excerpts of songs to see which of the brothers could identify it first, but he was shocked at how the identical twins shouted out their answers at the exact same time in perfect sync.
When Coyne played the Paramore tune Misery Business, it was Joel who named it first, adding, ‘Hayley [Williams] is a star, man.’
Cameron Diaz’s husband Benji brought up his daughter with Cameron when he jumped in.
‘I have a daughter and she’s just getting [into] playing her stuff and whatever,’ he said, noting that Raddix ‘loves Paramore.’
After Benji shared that his daughter is ‘five-and-a-half,’ Coyne asked if she is a ‘Taylor Swift fan.’
The rocker said she was, but added that she wasn’t able to go to her blockbuster Eras Tour shows.
‘She was a little young,’ Benji explained.
Joel, who shares his daughter Harlow, 17, and son Sparrow, 16, with his wife Nicole Richie, added that his daughter had been able to see Taylor on the tour.
‘That s*** was expensive, bro,’ he joked.
Benji and Cameron don’t post photos of Raddix or their younger son, 19-month-old Cardinal, and they rarely speak about the children, making his brief glimpse behind the scenes particularly rare.
Cameron and Benji had a whirlwind courtship that lasted just 10 months after they were introduced by her pal Nicole Richie, who married Benji’s brother Joel in 2010.
The Mask actress and the guitarist tied the knot in January 2015, and in December 2019 they welcomed Raddix via a surrogate.
Cardinal followed in March of last year.
In 2020, Cameron spoke about her daughter and becoming a parent in a rare interview.
‘I love being a mother,’ she gushed to Entertainment Tonight, adding, ‘It’s the best, best, best part of my life.’
‘I’m so grateful and so happy and it’s the best thing ever and I’m so lucky to do it with Benji and we’re having the best time,’ she continued. ‘I’m thrilled. I can’t believe it.’
Cameron and Benji became parents amid a nine-year gap in which she didn’t appear in any films, with the 2014 remake of the musical Annie being her last pre-retirement work.
But the blond beauty came roaring back with this year’s action comedy Back In Action, the project that her friend Jamie Foxx managed to lure her back to acting with.
Since then, she seems to have gotten back into the flow of things, as she has more films on the horizon, including Bad Day, and she’s set to reprise her voice role as Fiona in the animated sequel Shrek 5.
