Joe Jonas shut down fan theories about a recent viral backstage video of him, DailyMail reports.
According to the report by DailyMail, the hitmaker, 36, was performing with the Jonas Brothers in Los Angeles on Saturday night, and during a short break a fan captured him on video as he was clearing out his nose offstage.
The musician was pictured checking out his reflection and using his finger and later a black towel to pick at his nose
After the video went viral, Joe Jonas wrote in a since-deleted comment on TikTok: ‘Lol you never had a booger?’
The singer made the comment after the clip led to a variety of reactions from fans, including some who were joking about the video and others who raised questions about potential drug use.
One person shared a photo of The Simpsons character Ralph Wiggum blowing a snot bubble with the caption: ‘Joe Jonas next time he’s got a booger bothering him on stage so nobody says dumb stuff again.
‘He knows we’re all getting close up videos of him lol I get it,’ another fan wrote.
‘Imagine him being late for his cue and him explaining to Nick that he had a booger,’ another wrote
‘Hey we’re all human,’ someone else chimed in.
‘Maybe he wasn’t feeling well before the show?’ another person pondered.
‘Joe Jonas literally having sensory overload over a booger in his nose that he can’t get out being misconstrued as him doing c**e on stage has to be the most ridiculous f*****g thing I have seen,’ someone else added.
Joe took the stage at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California with brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas during their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, which kicked off August 10 in New Jersey.
The father-of-two showed off his muscles in a black tank top paired with studded black jeans.
He completed the outfit with a belt featuring a silver buckle.
Elsewhere during the show the brothers were joined by another beloved boy band, 5 Seconds of Summer.
‘We’ve known them for a couple years now. We’ve had a lot of mutual collaborators as well,’ Joe told the crowd, as per People.
‘But deep down, these are just great people. And we love seeing great people win when they’re out there doing their thing. Even if they’re from a different country… our friends, your friends, make some noise for our boys 5 Seconds of Summer.’
The two bands were last together in 2019 at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball in London.
In July, Joe made a startling confession as he and the Jonas Brothers reflected on being approached with inappropriate questions early in their careers.
The trio were guests on Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast, where they opened up about being under a microscope at a young age.
As the music artists rose to success in the early 2000s, they came to be known for their Christian backgrounds and regularly wearing purity rings.
Joe revealed that reporters posited questions about if they were waiting until marriage to have sex, and claimed that some would even threaten to write that the siblings were ‘in a cult’ if they didn’t oblige.
Nick — who is married to Priyanka Chopra — pointed out about the industry culture, ‘It wasn’t just us. It was a whole class of young people coming up.’
Nick added that there’s been a shift in what’s now acceptable to ask entertainers during interviews.
‘I think it’s really a good thing,’ he said, adding, ‘Where [now] it would be so outside of the realm of possibilities or something someone would do — to ask… a 14-year-old about their sex life.’
