Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, warned in a post to X on Wednesday that a U.S. attack on Iran in support of Israel “without a doubt will cause irreparable damage”, and both Israel and Iran continue with their bombardments.
“Intelligent people who know Iran and the nation and history of Iran will never speak to this nation in threatening language because the Iranian nation cannot be surrendered,” Khamenei wrote as he speaks on the Israel and Iran conflict.
In comments carried by Tasnim — Iran’s semi-official state news agency — Khamenei said, “War will be met with war, bombing with bombing, and strike with strike. Iran will not submit to any demands or dictates.’
Aerial attacks between Israel and Iran continued overnight into Wednesday, marking a sixth day of strikes following Israel’s Friday attack. That surprise operation hit at the heart of Iran’s nuclear program, striking key facilities and killing several nuclear scientists as well as high-ranking military leaders, according to Israeli officials.
Trump responds to Iran supreme leader’s refusal heed to his call for unconditional surrender
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier Wednesday warned that the United States that strikes targeting Iran will “result in irreparable damage for them” and that his country would not heed to Trump’s call for surrender.
“I say good luck,” Trump said when asked about the supreme leader’s refusal to surrender.
