Lady Gaga had her fans in stitches on Thursday after she went viral thanks to a security camera video, DailyMail reports.
DailyMail reported that the 38-year-old singer–songwriter Lady Gaga who recently debuted a shocking new look was seen in a video shot at Burger King that showed her seemingly to mull about aimlessly.
The clip which was supposedly shot in King City along California’s Central Coast was particularly surreal, as the superstar singer and actress appeared to be the only customer in the fast food restaurant.
Fans on social media couldn’t get enough of the unguarded view of Lady Gaga — real name: Stefani Germanotta who seemed to be totally at ease without an entourage or security detail.
In the video, she could be seen standing in front of the counter and staring as she took a sip from a soda she had ordered.
Lady Gaga affected a punky look with a black oversize jacket with padded shoulders, as well as slim black pants and tall platform boots.
She had her hair dyed its usual platinum shade, though her roots were showing for a relaxed touch.
After taking a sip of her drink, Lady Gaga turned to her left and stared out toward the door, before heading back to a row of kiosks that customers could order from.
She appeared to be staring at some of the menu items that rotated through on the screens, before she headed back toward the door.
At that moment a young woman walked through the door just as Gaga’s fiancé Michael Polansky emerged from the restrooms.
He headed for the door and Lady Gaga followed him out.
In a particularly funny touch, the woman who arrived just as they left did a double take and looked back toward the parking lot, as if in shock that she had just walked past the Star Is Born actress.
The video, which was rerecorded from a computer screen, didn’t have any audio aside from the music playing at the time, and it wasn’t clear if the singer and her fiancé had dined at the establishment before the video was shot, or if she had simply ordered a drink while Polansky used the bathroom.
Fans on social media were delighted by the video and a chance to see Gaga when she wasn’t putting on a performance.
One fan joked that Gaga paused in front of the kiosks because she was debating buying some food.
‘she was so interested in the deal of the day, she wanted that $8 combo bad,’ they wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another person applied red block letters reading ‘Burger Queen’ and a parental advisory sticker to turn the security cam footage into a lo-fi album cover.
‘New single BurgerQueen out THIS FRIDAY!!!’ they joked.
Several fans were tickled by the image of the woman walking in and seemingly doing a double take as Gaga walked by.
‘She’s me,’ another person wrote of the woman who looked back at Gaga.
One user joked that the woman must have been thinking, ‘Was that the rah rah b****?’
‘The best thing about this video is the face of the girl who comes in when they leave… Like: “Was that Lady Gaga?!?!’ added another fan.
Others mused at how unusual it would be to come face to face with the hitmaker, especially at work.
imagine you working your normal job at burger king and lady gaga comes in & orders a whopper [tears streaming down face emoji],’ one fan posted.
Another person claimed Burger Kings don’t get much foot traffic, making it an ideal pit stop for Gaga and her fiancé.
‘It makes sense she chose Burger King because that s*** is always empty,’ they jokes.
Several comments mused on how the Poker Face singer still does everyday activities, like stopping by a fast food restaurant to use the bathroom.
‘She’s just a normal citizen like us guys,’ one person wrote.
Another included an SNL meme with a surprised Chris Farley that they captioned: ‘omfg they eat like normal people!’
Some fans were particularly delighted by the way Gaga ambled around the restaurant seemingly at random.
This new video of gaga standing in a burger king and pointlessly walking two steps in random directions like an npc [non-playable character] in an unloaded game chunk?!!! [tears streaming down face emojis],’ one user joked.
The video was particularly hilarious for fans who remembered a joke made by Burger King on social media in April of last year.
In response to a video of Dua Lipa performing at a private event for McDonald’s in Barcelona, Spain, the Burger King UK account wrote, ‘Well we are going to bring out Lady Gaga at our next event.’
Presumably, they imagined something a little flashier than Gaga’s recent visit.
