Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo showed off their distinctive styles while attending a screening of the movie in New York City on Monday.
The Into You hitmaker, 31, channeled old Hollywood glamour at the event, held at the DGA Theater, wearing an all-white retro Versace look, consisting of an asymmetrical vest and skirt, Daily Mail reports.
According to the report by Daily Mail, Ariana Grande who recently watched the film with Kim Kardashian and her family, added another vintage touch to the chic outfit with elbow-length white gloves and matching white heels.
The hitmaker’s blonde strands were pulled up into a high ponytail, and she accessorized with pearl earrings.
Meanwhile Cynthia, 37, looked effortlessly cool in a shimmering green Louis Vuitton coat with a tan collar.
Underneath, the actress wore a white t-shirt and high-waisted blue jeans.
Cynthia added another pop of green to the outfit with her vibrant pointed-toe heels.
She layered on several pairs of gold earrings to complete the look.
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, who star as Glinda and Elphaba in the Wicked movie, were also joined by Kristin Chenoweth, 56, who originated the role of Glinda on Broadway.
Chenoweth looked glamorous as ever in a white dress that showed off her toned legs.
She added height to her frame with studded platform heels, and wore a light pink purse for the occasion.
The actress is rumored to make a cameo in the movie.
The Tony-winning star shared her review of the film while making her way home after the event.
She posted a video to her Instagram from her car, telling fans: ‘Oh my gosh, I just saw the movie. And I’m dying. I’m deceased. I’m actually dead. I’m not here.’
‘People are not going to be well when they see this film. It is so good. It is so special. The story is so wonderful and Cynthia and Ariana are amazing.’
‘The whole cast is amazing. Jon Chu nailed it. I was so moved, emotional, happy, filled with joy. Please, everybody go see Wicked. You’ll be blessed.’
She captioned her post, ‘Y’ALL WON’T EVEN BELIEVE HOW GOOD IT IS. I’ll never be the same!!! @wickedmovie.’
Other stars in attendance also included Ginna Claire Mason and Amanda Jane Cooper.
Also present at the screening were director Jon M. Chu and composer Stephen Schwartz.
Last week Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo had a private screening of Wicked with Kim Kardashian and her family.
The 44-year-old SKIMS founder held the party at her $60M Hidden Hills, California mansion she used to share with Kanye West.
The guest also included her mother Kris Jenner, sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, as well as their children.
Both Kim and Ariana dated the same man – Pete Davidson – but neither seemed to care as they smiled for photos. It was a pajama party featuring a viewing of the upcoming musical.
Along with Eviro and Grande, the cast also includes Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode, Bowen Yang, Bronwyn James, Keala Settle, Peter Dinklage, Aaron Teoh, Grecia de la Paz, Colin Michael Carmichael, Adam James, and Andy Nyman.
The movie is about an unlikely friendship that emerges between Elphaba and Glinda, two clashing witches in the magical land of Oz.
Elphaba is wrongfully cast as a wicked witch as she seeks to expose the fraudulent, corrupt Wizard who rules the land.
Wicked is the origin story of ‘a green-skinned woman who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West.’
It serves as a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, exploring the narrative before Dorothy’s arrival and delving into the former friendship between the characters Elphaba and Glinda.
The stars will be starting their press tour in the coming days, with the first premiere happening in Stdney, Australia next weekend, November 3.
Wicked is scheduled to drop on November 27, and then a direct sequel, Wicked Part Two, will follow a year later.
