Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has met with elders, leaders, and stakeholders of the state, as they prepare for the October 5th Local Government election in the state.
Sim Fubara who has been at loggerheads with his godfather and Minister of FCT, Nyesome Wike as to who controls the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structure in the state, on Thursday released some photos from his stakeholders meeting with elders in Rivers state, where he stated that the people of the state are ready for the Saturday’s Local Government election.
“As we inch towards the local government election on Saturday, October 5, 2024, we had the opportunity of interacting with the elders, leaders and stakeholders of our State, who are helping to deepen the democratic process.
We are focused on encouraging them to participate in the process so as to usher in new leaders at the grassroots level. It was important to galvanize all eligible voters to participate as detractors are bent on undermining our efforts to birth a new local government administration in our State in line with the Supreme Court ruling and the understanding we had with Mr. President. The interaction was rewarding as we all agreed to fully participate and make our State to be reckoned with in this election,” Sim Fubara captioned the photos.
