Dave Grohl’s daughters have taken down their social media accounts after he admitted to cheating on their mother Jordyn Blum and fathering a secret baby
The Foo Fighters singer, 55, admitted to cheating on his wife in an Instagram statement on Tuesday.
Grohl and Blum, 48, met in 2001 and have been married since 2003, sharing three daughters – Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
Dave Grohl’s daughters, Violet and Harper, have deleted their Instagram accounts following their dad’s announcement.
‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,’ Grohl said.
‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.’
Violet was born on April 15, 2006, in Los Angeles and has followed in her father’s footsteps as a musician, according to People.
When she was 12 years old, Violet joined Grohl on stage to perform Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’ at a benefit or the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in 2018.
In April 2021, the father-daughter duo released a cover of Los Angeles punk band X’s 1980 anthem ‘Nausea.’
In June 2023, the two performed together at the Glastonbury Festival and as she walked on stage the rock star called his daughter his ‘favorite singer in the world.’
Harper was born on April 17, 2009 and in his 2021 memoir, The Storyteller, Grohl described how Paul McCartney gave the girl her first piano lesson at five-years-old.
She eventually joined her father and older sister on stage at a 2018 benefit concert singing an acoustic rendition of ‘The Sky Is a Neighborhood.’
Grohl’s youngest daughter with Blum Ophelia was born on August 1, 2014. In October 2019 the singer made a cameo on the Nick Jr. preschool series Ryan’s Mystery Playdate with Ophelia.
On Tuesday, Grohl announced he welcomed a fourth daughter in September with a woman who is not Blum.
