Rylan Clark revealed he had been temporarily banned from Instagram after sending an unintentionally inappropriate picture.

The TV star, 35, had been celebrating his beloved mum Linda’s birthday on Saturday night when he was dealt the surprise blow from the social media company.

He told his followers: ‘Anyone that’s messaging me I’m not being rude but I’ve been banned for 3 days for sending a picture of a plant that looks like a Willy. Back Wednesday x’

He then uploaded a screenshot to his stories that had a screen saying ‘Temporarily unavailable’ with the reasoning behind it being: ‘Something you sent in a chat went against our Community Guidelines. You can’t send messages for three days’.

Fans and famous faces including Scott Mills and Faye from Steps couldn’t help but laugh at the innocent mistake writing:
‘Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahaaha’ and ‘Bahahahahahaha’.

Lizzie Cundy joked that she needed to be careful as she wrote: ‘I’m definitely banned then… ‘ with Jedward simply putting ‘Scandal’ followed by a plant emoji.

Earlier in the evening Rylan Clark had celebrated with his mum and brother Jamie, before presenting Linda with a giant chocolate cake that boasted a sparkler.

As he posted stories from their night – before getting banned – the family could be seen singing along to a home set up karaoke, with Linda having the time of her life taking over the mic and singing loud and proud.

At one point, Rylan Clark commented that he just wanted to go to bed having been up early for his BBC Radio 2 show, but the party was still in full swing.

It comes after Rylan dished out his own surprises to British Airways customer earlier in the month.
The presenter made a tannoy announcement during a flight to Berlin ahead of the 2024 Euros final.

He stood at the front of the plane to wish everyone on board a ‘safe and brilliant’ match and urged them not to loose their passports.

Speaking over the tannoy, Rylan Clark joked: ‘If you see me tonight buying some Peroni, I might be in a blonde wig but we’ll get used to it.

Guys, don’t loose you passports, be good, don’t get in any fights. Have a safe and brilliant final.’

He continued: ‘When we fly home tomorrow we are going to be taking the cup home with us. Once again thank you for flying British Airways, please don’t loose your passports.’

Despite Rylan’s encouraging words the Three Lions failed to bring home the cup on Sunday.

After posting the justification on why he was potentially ignoring anybody, Rylan captioned the statement ‘Lol’ wiith famous faces flooding his comment section about the hiccup.
