Farah El Kadhi, a popular Tunisian social media influencer, died at the age of 36 from a suspected heart attack, according to multiple reports.
Farah El Kadhi was reportedly vacationing on the European island of Malta when she went into cardiac arrest on Monday, June 17, according to the Times of Malta and Malta Today.
In a statement on Friday, June 21, by a Malta police representative confirmed that “a 36 year old Tunisian female was certified dead at Mater Dei Hospital” on June 17.
The Malta police representative also wrote that they could not provide any additional comment as a magisterial inquiry and police investigations are ongoing.
An architect with the firm Key Concept based in Tunisia, Farah El Kadhi boasted a following of 1.1 million on her Instagram account, which was filled with posts that showed her wearing stylish outfits.
Her most recent Instagram post was shared on July 7. In the image, which was tagged as being taken in Mykonos, Kahdi wore a red and white dress. The caption read, “Les violettes sont bleues.. les roses sont rouges.. ❤️🩷”, which translates into English as “Violets are blue.. roses are red.”
A day earlier, she posted a photo of herself sitting outdoors and carrying a chic black handbag, which she captioned, “I can spend my Life eating spaguetti alle vongole o al pomodoro, drinking prosecco, wearing Prada and singing Eros Ramazzoti ‘s songs !”
Soulayma Hneynia, a North African influencer who also appeared on Love Island Malta, said in an Instagram Story post that El Kadhi died “peacefully in her sleep,” per the New York Post and The Times of Malta.
She also called her friend a “truly wonderful person, known for her kindness, generosity, and warmth.”
Commenters shared tributes to the influencer on her last Instagram post, with one user writing: “No words 💔 May your memory be eternal 🙏🏻”.
Another commenter wrote in French, which translates into English: “I can’t believe it! I’m shocked, we’re going to miss you baby! I will never forget you ♥️ RIP my darling.”
