King Ateke Tom, a former leader of a Niger Delta militant group, crowned Amanyanabo of Okochiri Okirika, has expressed his gratitude to Rivers State Governor Fubara for elevating his stool from a second-class king to a First-Class status.
Amanyanabo of Okochiri kingdom Ateke Tom taking to his official social media handle on Wednesday 6th March 2024, did not only thank the governor for his kind gesture, but also thanked his people, family, and well-wishers for their messages on his promotion to a first-class king in Rivers state.
Rivers State Governor, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, over the weekend, upgraded the traditional stool of the King of Okochiri, Okirika, King Ateke Tom, from second-class to first-class status.
Fubara announced on Saturday at a special ceremony organized by the Council of Chiefs and the people of Okrika.
The thank you message by Ateke Tom reads:
“Thank You For the Love And Honour.
I’m immensely and deeply grateful to God for making this day a reality according to his will and purpose in my life, ruling in the affairs of men.
I want to specially thank the Governor of Rivers State my dear friend and brother Sir. Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS for surprising me with the elevation of my stool to a First-Class status in Rivers State.
I’m sincerely grateful dear Governor on behalf of my family and the people for your kind gesture in elevating and honouring me and the land of my fathers, acknowledging my building and sustenance of peace in Rivers State.
I also want to thank the leadership and all the members of Okrika Divisional Council Chiefs (ODCC) and the entire people of Wakirike-BESE (Kirike-Se Puko). This is undoubtedly a clear demonstration of a Prophet being honoured by his people.
